Call for Host Organisations: CDN Activities in 2025
Dear Member Organisations,
The Executive Committee is hereby announcing an open call for the hosts of the 2025 General Assembly (GA) and Resilience Building Summer Camp.
General Assembly is the most important political event throughout the year for CDN. We are envisioning to have a 3-day event running from Friday to Sunday in second half of March 2025 (either Mar 14-16, 21-23 or 28-30).
Resilience Building Summer Camp is our main educational activity. This year we focus on skills needed for operating in environments characterised by democratic backsliding. We event will take place in June or July 2025.
We are issuing the joint call to better accommodate needs of our MOs, streamline the preparations, and care about regional balance in our activities. You can select if your application shall be considered for any of the events, or just for GA or Summer Camp (the GA and SC will happen in different countries).
While the role of host organisation demands a significant commitment and comes with great responsibility both before and after the event, it also offers rewarding experiences full of learning and team-building.
Hosting the CDN events has several benefits including:
gaining experience in hosting an international political event
having a space to organise a session during the topical part of the GA
visibility via CDN’s social media
The host organization will need to:
Nominate contact person that will be responsible for communication with CDN Office. You can of course establish bigger team of volunteers!
Provide logistical support (help us with finding accommodation and venue, arranging catering, travel, visas, local speakers etc.);
Create an Info sheet that includes all the general info that can serve participants to arrive/depart to the accommodation more easily
You can read the more about the rights and responsibilities there. Please remember that throughout the period you will have the full support of the Executive Committee and Office.
If your organisation is interested in hosting the 2024 GA, fill out and send this questionnaire containing questions about your experience, composition of team and basic logistics, to igor.skorzybot@cdnee.org by 24th November 2024 23:59 CEST.
The Executive Committee will evaluate the applications and make a decision by the 1st of December.
