    Protests

    Yevheniia is an activist and volunteer from Ukraine who has been involved in the green movement since 2020. Her activism focuses on feminism, social and climate justice, regional security issues, and anti-imperialism.

    She has organized campaigns to raise awareness about women's rights, promote sustainable environmental practices and cover russian war crimes.

    Furthermore, after the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she has been part of the organisation providing humanitarian aid and first aid kits to civilians and Ukrainians on the frontline.

  • Anja Zlatović

    Zelena omladina Srbije

    Anja Zlatović was born in 1992. in Belgrade, Serbia, and it is where she lives today. She is an anthropologist, working at the University of Belgrade, and specializes in digital anthropology, pop culture studies, and thanatology. In 2022. she completed her PhD in processes of death on the internet and digital immortality.

    She has been an activist for a long time, but she's been involved with Green Circle for a couple of years. At the moment she is part of the Green Youth of Serbia and its mother party, Green-left Front. She was elected as MP of the Belgrade city council in 2023. elections in Serbia. Topics of LGBT+ rights, feminism, and social and economic welfare and what interest her most, so this is something she would focus on the most in the Eastern European context during her CDN work. Anja loves riding a bike, blueberries, and the sea.

    Belarusian Young Greens

    Katya's activism journey kicked off during the 2020 elections in Belarus where she served as an independent observer. Following the political fallout, she found herself unable to live in Belarus.

    She created a non-profit catalog to connect and support local Belarusian farmers. Katya is a finalist in Belarus's largest social project competition, Social Weekend, which was unfortunately shut down by the state along with thousands of other NGOs. She continued to empower others, offering free lectures on marketing and business strategies to farmers. She’s also been involved with the Research Platform of Belarusian Contemporary Art.

    Her passion is driven by a vision for a democratic Belarus where horizontal tie and a peer-to-peer economy thrive, ensuring a safer and more equitable future for all. Currently, enhancing her skills through a Mini MBA program.

  • Cemre Nayir

    Genç Yeşiller

    Born and raised in Izmir, Cemre has been actively working on humanitarian volunteering as a disaster interpreter since 2015. He participated in several international exercises on search and rescue and medical emergency. He took active role in field coordination in Adiyaman for Disaster Interpreters (ARÇ), working closely with Taiwanese Urban Search & Rescue and EMT teams in Turkey-Syria earthquakes in 2023. Part of the Greens of Turkey since 2022, he has been actively participating in Young Green activities since mid-2023 and have been focusing on activism in climate justice, racial justice, veganism.

    He is also part of Racial Justice Task Force of FYEG, manages the social media and statements for Genç Yeşiller, working on digital and IRL organising to reach potential members. As a translator, he translated several articles for Yeşil Gazete (Green Gazette), Yeşil Siyaset Dergisi (Green Politics Journal in TR) and also translated Nuclear Power Brochure for Green Thought Association.

    Zelena omladina Srbije

    Filip is 20 years old and currently living in Belgrade, Serbia, where he studies Sociology at the University of Belgrade. He is an active member of CDN's Executive Committee and ZOS (Green Youth of Serbia).

    Since 2023, Filip has been a member of the Green Youth of Serbia (ZOS) and the Serbia's Green Left Front, serving as the member of the Main Board of ZOS. Before his time in ZOS, Filip has a long background in fighting for youth participation, on local, national and international level

    In his spare time, Filip likes to enjoy movies and is passionate about strategy games like Civilization VI and Cities: Skylines. He’s also a traveler and a dedicated dog person who once dreamed of becoming a pilot but now satisfies his aviation interest through flight simulators.

    Ostra Zieleń

    Kuba comes from and lives in Warsaw, Poland.

    He graduated environmental protection at the Warsaw University of Technology and is currently writing a PhD on the adaptation of small and medium-sized cities to climate change. He completed postgraduate studies in the functioning of European structures and studied ecology at the Universidade de Coimbra as part of the Erasmus+ program.

    Since 2018, he has been a member of the Polish Young Greens and Polish Greens, where since 2020 he has been a member of the National Council.

    He is interested in and active in national and European politics, and is also involved in urban activities related to nature protection, especially tree protection.

    In his free time he listens to music, mainly rock, metal, dark wave and folk. He is also a movie buff and loves playing strategy computer games. Traveling is also his passion.

    Igor is involved in green and political activism since 2015, in various roles within Ostra Zieleń – Polish Young Greens. He did the joint internship for Greens/EFA in EP and Federation of Young European Greens. In 2023-24 he was an Executive Committee Member of CDN. His main political interests are foreign and security policy, and transport.

    Igor graduates Cognitive Science, and Discourse Studies at University of Warsaw, and his main scientific interest is language of politics and science. He also worked previously in the research project at Technical University of Wrocław.

    In CDN he Manages the Network and Executive Committee’s work. He is responsible for statutory events such as General Assembly, Regional and Cross-Regional activities, EC meetings, as well as strategic work and organisational development.

    Discovering and actively engaging in the world of volunteering & activism back in 2015, Ivana has found her gem (apart from cats, medicine and the Faculty of Biology). In 2018, her Green journey began with Green Youth of Serbia and its wonderful people (now friends & family), when attending, back then a joint event with CDN - Ekofest. Since then, Ivana engaged in Green events in various roles - from member to the Main Board, uncovering a beautiful oasis of amazing people where she found her safe place. The year 2021 came when Ivana crushed a corporate business after 2 years (almost literally - they sold out their company after she left), and joined CDN as an Office Assistant. Ivana's main responsibilities are manging he logistics & finances for events, administration. Her other main interests are environmental protection, social justice, mental health and sex education.

    Nikola has been involved in some form of activism since his time at high school, beginning as a volunteer in different local initiatives and as an advocate for students’ rights. Formally educated in Psychology and Human Rights, he always valued non-formal approach to learning, and has been involved in non-formal youth educational activities since 2010, first as a participant, then as a trainer and youth educator, and finally as trainer for trainers. Before CDN, he has worked with Da se zna!, a local queer CSO in Belgrade on monitoring, documenting and responding to hate crimes and discrimination incidents against LGBTI+ persons in Serbia. With a great wish to return to the field of youth work and to more substantially contribute to the green movement, he joined CDN as a Project Coordinator in November of 2022.
