The was is not over.

Today marks 3 years of russian full-scale aggression and 11 years of russian war in Ukraine.

These years have been filled with of war crimes, the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure, the unlawful killing of thousands of innocent civilians, violation of territorial integrity and sovereignity, and massive disinformation campaign against Ukraine and Ukrainians.

Especially now, we must center Ukrainian voices, and not focusing on the imperial power and those repeating its narratives as Trump's administration or far-right and far-left parties throughout Europe. The core of our discourse should be demands of people from Ukraine on what is needed for victory!

CDN reassures its support for the people of Ukraine in their fight for people’s lives, for the democratic future of their country and Europe overall, and against the fascist regime of russia. We repeat our call for the following:

  • Speed up and increase European military aid. This applies to all the weapons, ammunition and military equipment Ukraine needs.

  • Stronger counteraction to the Russian fifth column that slows down aid to Ukraine and spreads Russian disinformation.

  • Make Russia pay: confiscate frozen Russian assets and transfer to Ukraine as the first step towards future reparations.

  • Ban all Russian fossil fuel imports—while recent restrictions on LPG and the “shadow fleet” were steps forward, LNG must also be banned.

  • Strengthen sanctions against companies still operating in Russia or planning to return.

  • Officially designate Russia as a terrorist state as in Council Regulation (EC) on specific restrictive measures directed against certain persons and entities with a view to combating terrorism, and execute all the corresponding sanctions.

  • Increase Europe’s strategic leadership in supporting Ukraine. Especially as the US shows fascist and pro-russian tendencies, European countries and institutions must take the lead in providing consistent military, economic, and diplomatic aid. Expanding assistance and reinforcing political unity against Russian aggression are necessary to countering both direct military threats and the soft power influence.

    Слава Україні!
