CDN – Cooperation and Development Network in Eastern Europe is looking for a new Gender Group Coordinator to take on the challenge of re-organizing and re-vitalizing the activity of its Working Group on gender related issue in South-Eastern Europe. The Gender Group Coordinator will be in charge of coordinating the overall work and activities of the CDN Gender Group and will be responsible to the Executive Committee.

This year the Federation of Young European Greens celebrated its 20th anniversary during the annual General Assembly, held between the 9th and 11th of May in Berlin. More than 100 young greens from all over Europe gathered in the capital of Germany to attend the event. Irina, Mariana and Benjamin of the Executive Committee of CDN and the new Network Coordinator Milan Mitrovic also participated in the GA.

This weekend, on Ohrid we had a good and productive meeting that resulted with draft agenda of the conference and quite a big list of the tasks still to accomplish in order to have a quality exchange in June. Besides 3 lectures that we are planning, discussion groups, workshops… we wanted to ensure that participants have opportunity to get to know Ohrid, it’s surrounding, local culture and customs, so we planned 2 excursions and ensured enough free time. This call is open for applicants coming from any of the Council of Europe member states and Belarus. The participants should be interested in the topics of this event, willing to take active part in the planned activities and open for new experiences and people. Considering that this is a youth event the participants will not be younger then 17 and older then 32. The allocation of participants will be based on gender and geographical balance. CDN – Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe (www.cdnee.org) is announcing a second call for members of the international preparatory group (prep team) of the summer camp “Youth culture as a sustainable path to democratic society”. This project will take place from 20th to 27st of July 2008 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This event has been so far financially supported by European Youth Foundation and the Green Forum, Sweden. CDN had a study visit to Tuzla this weekend in order to meet our Member Organization and a Host of the next Summer camp Youth movement “Revolt”. We introduced Revolt with their and ours rights and obligations and we are satisfied with how Revolt members are motivated with the summer camp.

Elena, Tomislav and Stevan have been in Ohrid this weekend visiting several possible locations for our exchange. We agreed about the accommodation and other technical needs still to do for the prep meeting.
